Thanks to all the participants and speakers for making FIT 2012 in Tallinn a successful event!

(22.03.2012) The workshop will take place (like all satellite workshops of ETAPS) in the campus of the Tallinn University of Technology (TUT), in the building of the Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration, Building X of TUT (Akadeemia tee 3). The campus of TUT is 7 kms from the city center, but easily reached by public transport. For details please visit the ETAPS website for information about public transportation, time schedules, etc. The workshop will start at 9:00 AM.
(25.01.2012) A list of invited and contributed talks is available, as well as a draft of the programme.
(25.01.2012) The early registration for ETAPS and FIT ends on 29th of January!
The fourth International Workshop on Foundations of Interface Technologies will be held as a Satellite Workshop to ETAPS 2012.
Component-based design is widely considered as a major approach to developing complex systems in a time- and cost-effective way. Component interfaces are central in this approach and summarize the externally visible properties of a component which can be syntactic properties such as operation signatures, but can also be behavioral and extra-functional properties such as quality of service, security and dependability. In recent years, rich interface formalisms have been proposed to specify legal sequences of messages, or resource and timing constraints. The challenge is to achieve compositionality - the key requirement for the effective analysis and prediction of global system behavior based on individual component behaviors.
The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers who are interested in the formal underpinnings of interface technologies.
This is a one day workshop. About half of the presentations are by invitation and half of the presentations are by submission.
